Special needs school transport across Melbourne

Patient drivers, accessible vehicles, and the care that students with additional needs deserve every day.

Transporting students with additional needs calls for more than a vehicle and a timetable. It calls for patience, consistency and genuine care — drivers who understand that the journey is part of the student's day, and who treat it with the attention it deserves.

Care built into every run

Our drivers are Working with Children checked and chosen for the patience and steadiness these runs require. We offer seatbelt-equipped and wheelchair accessible vehicles, and we work closely with schools and families to understand each student's needs before the first trip.

Consistency matters enormously here. A familiar driver and a predictable routine make all the difference for students who rely on both, and we structure our special needs transport around exactly that.

Common questions

That consistency is the point of a specialist run, so we roster the same driver — and, where a run needs one, the same supervisor. When illness or leave makes a change unavoidable we tell the school before the run rather than after it.

Yes. Drivers on school work hold a current Working with Children Check, and Skylight Bus Lines is an accredited bus operator with Safe Transport Victoria. We can provide both to a school before a run starts.

Yes. Our wheelchair accessible vehicles have ramp or lift access and certified restraint systems, with room for a carer or support worker to travel alongside. Tell us the chair and any transfer requirements and we will confirm what fits before anything is committed to.

Share your trip and we'll put together a clear, fair quote — usually within the day.
